Reimagining how we live together
A presentation on intergenerational housing within Australia and the United States
On Monday 3rd March I spoke at the online Generations Working Together Intergenerational Housing, Places and Spaces event; the event page can be found here.
The session explored how inclusive spaces can be reimagined to reduce loneliness and social isolation in our communities.... asking: How can we plan our community housing to create a more holistic approach, serving diverse groups in a single location?
My presentation drew upon case studies to explore the power of intergenerational housing to tackle loneliness, bridge generational divides and provide an alternative to an increasingly individualistic society.
